Terms and Conditions

Bookings can be made by email, Facebook messenger, text or mobile phone.  I will require an email address that you can be contacted on though so that I can send my questionnaire, report(s) and invoice(s).

Before a booking is confirmed I will email you a pre-assessment questionnaire to complete and return to me.  Once this has been returned, we can discuss how I can help you, the fees involved and agree a date for an appointment.

Discounts, special offers or bundle packages must be discussed and agreed at the time of booking.

Refunds and Cancellations:

Refunds for work already completed are not offered.  I provide you with my time, assessment and report and then it is up to you to put in the work with your pet. I will of course make every effort to ensure you fully understand the advice given and are able to implement it.  Please do contact me, ideally by email, should there be anything you do not understand or are not sure about.

Beware any trainer or behaviourist who offers you a money back guarantee. There are no magic wands or quick fixes.  Working with your dog takes time and patience and I aim to give you the information and understanding to enable you to help your dog.

Initial Behavioural Consultation:

Initial Behavioural Consultations are usually chargeable at £50 for one hour’s visit.  The consultation usually takes place in your home and may also include observing your dog on a walk (dependent on circumstances). The fee includes a full report including an action plan along with up to six weeks follow up support via email, WhatsApp or Facebook messenger.

Following completion of the Pre-Assessment Form I will get in touch to discuss whether I can help you and what is involved.  At that point, we will arrange an appointment for me to visit you and your dog in your home, or other suitable venue if that is not possible, to discuss the issues further and carry out an initial assessment.

Please note that this initial session concentrates on gathering sufficient information to understand the issues both you and your dog are experiencing, along with your aims and expectations, in order for me to produce a report and plan of action.

This visit will be for around one hour.

After the visit, I will write your report and action plan, which I will hope to get to you within a few days.  Please bear with me as I try to make the report as thorough as possible, covering everything we have discussed and providing step by step points of action for you to follow going forward.

Upon receipt of the report I will ask you to acknowledge receipt, confirm understanding, ask any questions you may have and query anything that is unclear or you’re not sure about.  It is then up to you to put the work in with your dog!

The Initial Behavioural Consultation fee includes up to six weeks ongoing support via email, WhatsApp or facebook messenger.  However, further visits and advice reports are chargeable (see below).

Follow up Sessions:

Further one to one sessions at your home (or an agreed location) are usually chargeable at a rate of £40 per hour. However, this is on a pro rata basis so £20 for half an hour etc.   This includes a follow up report and action plan and a further six weeks ongoing support via email, WhatsApp or Facebook messenger.

Adopting a Rescue Dog:

Having both adopted and fostered many rescue dogs and also provided guides and advice to rescue foster carers and adopters, I have a great deal of experience in setting new dogs up for the very best chance of success in their new home.  The first days and weeks are a crucial time for settling and unfortunately is also a time when issues can be created. Please contact me to discuss your needs and we can create a bespoke support package.

Geographical Locations Covered:

I cover a ten-mile radius of Toddington, Bedfordshire.  Appointments outside this area may be available subject to travel costs being paid in addition to the consultation fee. Please contact me to discuss this.

I am fully insured as a pet trainer/behaviourist and dog walker by Petplan Sanctuary.  However, this does not cover, nor do I accept any responsibility for, any damage your pet causes to your home or belongings.
